Third Party Hate Crime Reporting Centre

Citizens Advice North Staffordshire is a Third Party Hate Crime Reporting Centre, providing a safe, confidential and independent way for people to report hate motivated crimes and incidents. The centre provides an alternative means of reporting hate crime for people who do not wish to report directly to the police.

What We Do

As a Third Party Hate Crime Reporting Centre, our trained staff are here to listen, support, and help you understand your options. We can:

  • Provide a safe and confidential space to talk about what happened
  • Make a record of the incident
  • Provide information about onward reporting options, if you wish to share your report
  • Support you to report the incident to the police, if you choose to do so
  • Help you to report anonymously, if preferred
  • Signpost you to specialist services, including our specialist hate crime victim support service, Uniting Staffordshire Against Hate, for further practical and emotional support.
